On Thursday, June 28, the City of Maryville, Tenn., held an open house to showcase its award-winning Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. Among the attractions was a composting process that yields a product bringing strong prices on the market.
It’s a class A material that residents can use on their yards and gardens. Homeowners as well as farmers use it. The plant website says the city charge $203 for a small dump truck load, $277 for a large dump truck load, and $23 for a pickup truck load. For other vehicles the price is $11 per cubic yard.
