At last week’s Water Environment federation residuals and biosolids conference, more than 30 global experts discussed a vision for future energy performance and a plan to help wastewater organizations become net energy producers. The discussion was held as part of Residuals and Biosolids 2012, held in Raleigh, N.C.“WEF will continue to move forward with a vision to address, support, and promote energy-positive water reclamation,” said WEF president Matt Bond. “This meeting was a first big step toward helping more water utilities become net energy producers while providing vital water supply and management services to their communities.”During the invitation-only workshop March
