News reports say that a propane tank exploded about 11 a.m. Thursday on a construction site at the Picnic Point Wastewater Treatment Plant in Edmonds, Wash. The explosion took place as a 1,000-gallon tank was being loaded onto a truck. Five people were burned and were taken to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries was not reported. The plant is owned by the Alderwood Water and Waste District.
