Nearly every month seems to bring news about some entity, public or private, building a biogas project. Often, these involve using food waste as “fuel” for an anaerobic digester. The latest of these projects to come along is in Milwaukee, Wis.
There, according to a report in The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Forest County Potawatomi Tribe wants to build a biogas-to-energy project next to its casino. An anaerobic digester would produce electricity and hot water heating for the casino. The tribe’s proposal files with the City of Milwaukee says the biogas generation facility “will support the tribe’s overall goal of becoming
