Steady Upgrades Keep This 36-Year-Old Plant in Excellent Shape

The wastewater plant has won Most Outstanding Wastewater Treatment Facility from the Mississippi Water Environment Association more than any other plant in the state

The well-maintained Pascagoula/Moss Point (Mississippi) Wastewater Treatment Plant is the only facility in the state to win Most Outstanding Wastewater Treatment Facility three times. That’s due in a large part to a quality staff and regular upgrades. Most recently, water operations manager Carrie Dennis says the plant worked on odor control to satisfy condo development in the area. A new system from Evoqua Water Technologies is working out well. “We’ve actually had no issues or any kind of odor complaints since it has been installed,” says Dennis.
