Plant Supervisor Tim Burton takes viewers on a tour of the town of Rocky Mount (Virginia) Wastewater Treatment Plant, which features a three-stage oxidation ditch designed by Evoqua Water Technologies. From there, the plant uses clarifiers and UV disinfection to fulfill the wastewater treatment needs of the town’s 5,000 residents. All of the plant’s employees are cross-trained and certified in the lab. “It’s a class act down here,” says Burton. “We’re very proud of the fact that we can do all of our own lab testing except for our more complicated lab testing that only has to be done annually.”
