Oklahoma Municipal Assurance Group is set to host its sixth annual Sanitary Sewer Expo, taking place Oct. 27–29 in Enid, Oklahoma. Over the past five years, this event has become the premier sewer expo in Oklahoma, designed specifically for the cities and towns in Oklahoma.

The event brings together municipal staff, industry experts and national vendors to focus on the tools, strategies and partnerships needed to keep sewer systems safe, reliable and sustainable.

Past expos have delivered significant value to Oklahoma communities. Municipalities have left with new maintenance strategies, hands-on training and practical solutions they could immediately put into action. Field crews have gained insight into advanced inspection technologies and cleaning methods, while administrators have discovered funding solutions and risk management strategies to protect their communities from costly sewer failures.

This year’s expo builds on that foundation with three tailored educational tracks: Field Operations & Maintenance; Utility Leadership & Administration; and Integrated Utility Management. Attendees can earn up to 12 professional development training hours from the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality while participating in expert-led sessions, demonstrations and roundtable discussions.

The event also features a vendor hall with state and national companies to showcase their products and services directly to the Oklahoma cities and towns. Vendors consistently highlight the OMAG Sewer Expo as a unique opportunity to connect with operators and decision-makers in a focused, productive environment.

The Expo opens with a golf tournament Oct. 27, offering casual networking before two full days of education, training and evening events. For OMAG members, registration is completely free. The OMAG Sanitary Sewer Expo continues to grow each year, but its purpose remains the same: helping Oklahoma’s cities and towns strengthen their sewer systems and safeguard their communities.
