During summer, vacationers often swim at their resort destination of choice; luckily for them, someone else cares for their recreational waters. Sealevel connected with a large beach resort neighborhood with multiple, varied pool sites. Facilities managers wanted to implement a system that diminished poolside check-ups, stopped extraneous water testing, saved resources and contributed to preventive maintenance.
Pool technicians relayed the obstacles they faced in their work. The island’s remote location and hot, frequently stormy, climate complicated supervision. Differing sites required a variety of chemical, lighting, temperature and pressure settings. Near-constant, large-volume usage increased issue frequency while human presence necessitated safe, precise — yet quick — fixes.
Key application requirements
- Monitor chemical levels, integrating existing systems
- Monitor pump and record data
- Facilitate constant, long-distance communication
The Sealevel solution
Sealevel recommended SeaConnect 370 devices at each pool site integrating them with cameras, sensors and a wet-weather gauge and coordinating with SeaCloud software. Rainfall measurements and rainwater chemical analysis prompt chemical systems to refine post-rain treatments, reducing green pool occurrence. Sensors take regular measurements of pool water temperature and chemical levels. Data points outside accepted temperature thresholds trigger water flow and heating system adjustments; chemical measurements are analyzed to customize pool kits efficiently, without delay.
Sealevel SeaConnect hardware and SeaCloud software created a smart pool network that works around the clock in all conditions. As a result, costs declined, water waste decreased and chemical adjustments were streamlined.
