Mueller Water Products used its presence at WEFTEC to introduce a new unified branding. The new logo featuring just the name MUELLER reflects the company’s offerings that extend “From the Source to the City.”

The company offers end-to-end water system solutions at the source, at the treatment plant, underground, on the street and in the cloud. The Mueller umbrella covers the sub-brands Mueller, Echologics, Hydro Gate, Hydro-Guard, Jones, Mi.Net, Milliken, Pratt, Singer and U.S. Pipe Valve and Hydrant.

The new approach helps the company deliver technologies that offer synergy for water system operators. One good example introduced at WEFTEC is the J-0438 wet-barrel “smart” fire hydrant with a pressure-monitoring dome and a fixed leak-detection cap.

The pressure monitoring technology lets system managers see when the pressure has fallen below or exceeds a pressure specification so that adjustments can be made. It can generate a graph of pressure over time.

The leak-detection feature helps operators identify and locate leaks. For example, two of the smart hydrants located 500 feet apart could acoustically detect a leak between them and determine where along the pipe the leak exists.

In total, Mueller offers flow control solutions, pipeline management technologies, fire protection solutions, and metering and communication technologies.
