The Water Environment Federation has convened the Pure Water Brewing Alliance as an informal group of utilities, brewers, associations and companies interested in the use of purified water for brewing beer. The aim is to build public understanding of the water cycle, showcase water treatment technology and advance water sustainability through reuse.Beer is made of about 90 percent water. Technology allows water resource recovery facilities to produce safe, high-quality purified water.
