D) Affects only nitrifying bacteria in anaerobic selectors

Answer: 

The denitrification process decreases with decreasing temperatures. Adjustment in MCRT might be required in colder climates to ensure adequate denitrification. Therefore, the answer is B, decreases with denitrificaiton process.
