Environmental Operators Certification Program Hires Executive Director
Kalpna Solanki, executive director, Environmental Operators Certification Program

The Environmental Operators Certification Program, which certifies water and wastewater operators and classifies facilities in British Columbia and Yukon, has hired Kalpna Solanki as its new executive director. Solanki holds a master of business administration and a bachelor of science from Simon Fraser University, as well as a diploma in technology (environmental health) from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

With her new role, Solanski says she has come full-circle to her environmental roots. With her entrepreneurial background, she brings significant experience in finance, strategic planning and customer relationship management to the EOCP.

Solanki also has experience in volunteerism and the nonprofit sector. Previously, she was chair of the Canadian Red Cross Lower Mainland Region, president of the Simon Fraser University Alumni Association and director with Big Brothers of the Lower Mainland.
