About 175 Grundfos Pumps employees joined family, friends and corporate partners for its annual Walk for Water event held in Kansas City, Missouri, and Aurora, Illinois. The initiative was designed to raise awareness about the global water crises and to raise funds for safe, sustainable water solutions in developing countries. Grundfos first held the event in 2012, and to date has raised more than $200,000 for Water Missions International.

Carollo Engineers names senior vice president
Carollo Engineers has announced that Susan Gilbert has joined the firm as a senior vice president. She will assist with implementing Carollo’s strategic plan, working with clients to implement, procure and execute solutions for water needs. Gilbert is an engineer with more than 30 years of water engineering expertise. She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering, as well as a master’s degree in business administration.

OCV Control Valves boasts most comprehensive listing in industry
OCV Control Valves LLC now has the most comprehensive NSF/ANSI 61-G listing in the control valve industry, certified through NSF International. OCV’s control valve product line maintains its previous NSF/ANSI 372 listing for all control valves in addition to adding the NSF/ANSI 61-G listing for virtually all models in sizes 4 inches to 24 inches.

Vanair announces expansion
Vanair Manufacturing announced the acquisition of an 80,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Michigan City, Indiana, to accommodate increased growth and future expansion. The acquisition brings the company’s total production and office space to over 160,000 square feet. The new space will provide capacity for increased manufacturing, training, support, service and leadership functions across the company.

Applied Material Solutions acquires two subsidiaries
Applied Material Solutions has announced the company has purchased Performance Process Inc. in Mundelein, Illinois, and Nottingham Company, PPI’s chemical’s division, in Atlanta, Georgia. These two companies join Trans-Chemco as divisions of Applied Material Solutions.

Quam Construction joins list of LMK licensed contractors
Quam Constuction joined the LMK Technologies’ network of independent licensed contractors for the T-Liner Main-to-Lateral Connection Lining System in July. As part of its underground utilities division that services municipal, commercial and residential areas, Quam has announced plans to become licensed in LMK’s Performance Liner Sectional Spot Repair, cured-in-place manhole rehabilitation, and VAC-A-TEE clean-out systems
