American Water, the nation’s largest publicly traded water and wastewater utility company, announced its president and CEO Susan Story is participating in the 2015 Women’s Energy Summit on Sept. 2 in Chicago.

Story will join other top women business leaders on a panel titled “Investing in the Future” to discuss the U.S. EPA’s Clean Power Plan, the rush of innovations in technologies and services, the evolving role of traditional utilities, and creative financing mechanisms.

Last year, more than 100 top women business leaders in the energy and environment industry convened for the inaugural Women's Energy Summit. The day-long summit, led by the Illinois Commerce Commission, is attended by regulators, industry leaders, government officials and community representatives.
