Pump tubing

GORE High-Resilience Style 400 pump tubing from W.L. Gore & Associates features a VITON fluoroelastomer composite with reinforcement technology, enabling the tube to last more than 50 times longer than standard peristaltic pump tubing. Designed for use in high-pressure and solvent-based dosing applications, the tubing can operate at burst pressures in excess of 300 psi and continuous pressures up to 60 psi with intermittent pressures up to 100 psi. 410/506-5677; www.gore.com/industrialtubing.

Control switch relay

The time delay control switch relay from Electroswitch mitigates arc flash danger in local circuit breaker operations by allowing for manually initiated time-delayed trip or close. A flashing LED notifies the operator of the pending trip or close operation and serves as a warning to evacuate the arc flash area. Once a local trip or close is initiated, the 10-second delay allows an operator to cancel the pending operation. To avoid inadvertent operation, control pushbuttons must be depressed for four continuous seconds to activate the 10-second delay. Other delay time options are available. No special wiring is required for installation. 781/335-5200; www.electroswitch.com.

Cellular control

The T925 wireless cellular control from Xenon Inc. is designed for connecting remote sites with central control and monitoring stations through cellular networks. The remote network eliminates the need to make hardwired Ethernet connections to the Internet or to an intranet at each remote site and at the central control and monitoring station. The network operates from any location with cellular coverage. 866/571-8595; www.xenoninc.com.

Chemical metering pumps

ROYTRONIC EXCEL Series AD chemical metering pumps from LMI Milton Roy, a Hamilton Sundstrand company, feature microprocessor control options and electromagnetics to meet all flow/pressure ratings. Pumps are available for applications up to 250 psi with capacities between 0.002 and 2.0 gph. Pushbutton controls for stroke speed and mode, LCD user interface, stroke adjustment and a low-level float switch connection are available. Select models include a graphical display, alarm modes, external control options, pulse divide/multiple modes, pulse and 4-20 mA input and output connections, dual low-level switch connection, universal voltage and advanced electronic features for pump configuration. 215/293-0401; www.miltonroy.com.

Electric actuators

PA/O-PD/O quarter-turn electric spring-return actuators from Promation Engineering are made for use with all ball and butterfly valves or dampers with load requirements ranging from 450 to 2,300 in-lbs. The actuators have a hardened steel gear train and are available with or without clutch-free manual handwheel. Features include integrated position indicator, two auxiliary switches (rated at 3A 250V), internal low-power, anti-condensation heater, hydraulic damper and cast aluminum polymer coated housing rated NEMA 4X. The actuators also are available for 24 VAC/DC, 120 VAC and 230 VAC supply voltages. They are ISO 5211 compliant and come equipped with electrical and mechanical safety interlocks. 352/544-8436; www.promationei.com.

Chemical dosing pumps

The 500 Series 3301 pump from Moyno Inc. is designed for chemical dosing and transfer applications. Features include a reverse covered seal design between the rotor shaft that eliminates metal exposure to fluids. Phenolic housings and rotors are corrosion-resistant. Hose connections, resilient cushion and cradle mounting provide easy installation, maintenance and replacement. Suitable for direct or belt drive, the pumps have a pumping range of 0.45 to 13 gpm and pressures up to 25 psi. 877/ 486-6966; www.moyno.com.

Gas removal

Liqui-Cel membrane contactors from Membrana-Charlotte, a division of Celgard LLC, utilize microporous hollow fibers to add or remove oxygen, carbon dioxide and other gases from water and liquids. By applying a higher pressure to the liquid stream relative to the gas, a driving force is created that transfers the dissolved gas out of the liquid, through pores in the wall of the hollow fiber and into the lumenside of the hollow fiber where the gas is carried away. The modular system is available in a variety of sizes for flow rates between 0.5 to 400 gpm. Larger flow rates can be handled by piping multiple contactors in parallel. 704/587-8888; www.membranafiltration.com.

Data analysis tools

Data editing and analysis tools from FlowWorks Inc. enable users to highlight data directly on time-series, scatter graphs or in tables, then flip to an editing screen. Notes and editing history are saved so reverse changes can be made if needed. The FlowWorks Web platform collects data directly from SCADA systems, USGS and NOAA environmental stations. Designed to manage water, sewer, rainfall and other remote data, it can perform CSO event analysis and alarming, I&I and rainfall IDF analysis. FACE real-time data collection tools enable users to create new data channels from incoming data using equations, logical statements and advanced mathematical functions. 206/859-6999; www.flowworks.com.
